Shame connections

Which post have people connected with the most on your blog?

See: Shame

God that post blew up. It was unexpectedly posted on BlogHer a few months after I wrote it.

Then, over a year later, I was asked to do a follow up post as part of the #KnowMe series leading up to BlogHer15.

I’d kind of jumped the shark in blogging, and was questioning my place in the blogosphere when I was asked to write this post. To realize important powers that be at BlogHer remembered my post about teaching and being lesbian reminded me of something very important: Sometimes our writing may not make the huge difference we’d hoped for, but it might also stick with one or two people. To those people, our writing makes all the difference in the world.

It so needs to be Friday tomorrow.

This selfie, which was taken in a vain moment of self-indulgence, totally expresses the vast majority of emotions I’ve felt this week.

I’m tired. I’m drained. I’m inexplicably invigorated.

My post on Shame from a few months ago was syndicated on BlogHer today, which totally rocks. (Check it out, yo.)

New York & Company thinks I look amazing in my Eva Mendes dress.

Life is just good, but I’m tired. It’s been a long week.

Enjoy the fact that Friday arrives in a few hours, people.
