So I’m a self-proclaimed Facebook creeper. I used to be a Facebook stalker, but the term “stalker” probably has some legal repercussions. This translates to me being a Facebook addict, and being on Facebook more than I probably should. One of the pages I “like” on Facebook is a local pub, Fox and the Hound. On Friday, they posted a status that popped up in my newsfeed, saying that the first person to send an email to a “Alicia” would win a “VIP Happy Hour Party Starter”… aka 50 wings, 3 pizzas, chips & salsa, and 2 hours of pool. It seemed like a pretty cool deal, plus I love wings, so why not?
Naturally, being the opportunist that I am, as well as being logged into my email, I sent an email probably 45 seconds after they posted.
I made a Facebook event, and on Monday, my friends and I gathered for a bit of fun.
I felt like a bit of an elitist after having a section of the bar and a pool table reserved for me and my friends.
We had a lot of fun playing pool, eating wings, pizza, and chips, and being special.
Another favorite of mine? My dragonberry mojito.
I also had fun whoring my blog out. (C’mon now, I have magnets from BlogHer and you know I want to share them with the world.)
We all had a really fabulous time, and it was really nice to be able to kick back, relax, and have an unexpected night out with my friends. It also felt really awesome to feel like a hot shot for the night…I’m one step closer to being a celesbian. Thanks for putting it together, Alicia! I’m really glad I Facebook creeped on Fox’s page… it was definitely worth it.
